Down 3-2 in the eighth inning to North Adams, the Navigators loaded the bases loaded with two outs for left fielder Eric Jagielo (Notre Dame).
Jagielo, as he has done on many occasions this season, again came through in the clutch, rolling a single through the right side to plate two runs and give the Navigators their first lead of the ballgame. Dario Pizzano (Columbia) followed up with an RBI single of his own to put the Navigators on top 5-3.
Right-hander Miles Landry (Baylor) came on in the ninth to nail down his second save of the season, as the Navigators got back on track and back to the .500 mark at 8-8 on the season.
Jagielo finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBI, while Pizzano also tallied three hits to raise his season average to an astounding .432.
Navs starting pitcher Dan Slania (Notre Dame) went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits. But it was the bullpen that once again did the dirty work for the Navigators, as four relievers combined to allow just one hit over four innings.
