Two Navigators receive NE-10 honors

Boulter was named to the NE-10 First Team on Tuesday.

The Navigators’ Matt Boulter and Junior Mendez of Southern New Hampshire University both received Northeast-10 Conference honors on Tuesday.

Boulter, a sophomore infielder, was an NE-10 First Team selection. He led the Penmen in hitting with a .338 average this spring and also added three home runs and 31 RBI. The Wrentham native walked (24) more times than he struck out (22) and also had 13 stolen bases as the Penmen finished their season with a school-record 25 wins.

Meanwhile, teammate Junior Mendez, a righthander from Patchogue, N.Y., was named to the NE-10 All-Rookie Team. Mendez posted a 3.69 ERA and had 51 strikeouts in 53.1 innings this spring in 11 games. The freshman made seven starts and had four relief appearances.
