Final score: Navs 4, Muskrats 2

Smith: 2-for-3, HR, 3 RBI

With a 4-2 win over Laconia Tuesday night, the Navigators have now won four in a row, six of seven, and 10 of their last 13 overall and are now an 11-8 on the season. Navs’ starter Crayton Bare (5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 5 K) picked up his third win of the season, which moves him into a first-place tie among five others as the NECBL leaders in wins. Bare now has a miniscule 1.50 ERA.

North Shore got one run in the second, but the big blow came in the third when shortstop Garret Smith (left) blasted a three-run home run to left. Smith later came on in relief and pitched the ninth for his first save of the season. Matt Avery’s third inning single extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

W: Bare (3-0)
