The Navigators won their third straight (and 10th in 12 games) on Monday at Sanford with a 7-2 victory. Most of their damage offensively came in a four-run third inning, when Tyler Kuehl (three hits) had an RBI double, Matt Avery (1-for-5, ten-game hitting streak) drove in two with a base hit, and Ben Waldrip delivered an RBI single.
Starter Daniel Patrick (1.29) allowed just one run over four innings on two hits, and Dylan Hochevar (3.21) picked up the win in relief after three scoreless innings of two-hit ball. North Shore is now 10-8 and just a 1/2 game back of first-place in the division despite their 0-6 start to begin the season.
