postGame: Team NECBL vs. Team USA

logo_usa_baseballThe NECBL All-Star team traveled to Manchester, NH to take on the always tough Team USA club that out lasted Team NECBL, 4-1.

Team USA annually selects talented Division I players from around the country to compete in summer games against worldwide competition.  Stephen Strasburg, the former Torrington Twister and #1 overall pick in the 2009 MLB Draft, played for Team USA last season.  The NECBL selected two players from the Navigators, Bellarmine University second basemen Patrick Brady (pictured) and starting pitcher Jeff Tardiff from Le Moyne College, to play on Team NECBL.


USA’s pitching allowed one run on two hits, but one of the hits came courtesy of North Shore Navigators 2B Patrick Brady, who also scored the only run for Team NECBL.

Team USA has won 34 consectutive games dating back to last summer.  The team will face Holyoke tonight and will be in Lynn tommorow,  so come on down to Fraser and watch some of the most talented players take on your North Shore Navigators.
