Navs_Official_LogoAt MacKenzie Stadium in Holyoke tonight, the North Shore Navigators (8-3) defeated the Holyoke Blue Sox (4-5) by the score of 5 to 1.

…if pitching wins championships, then the navs may be playing into august this year.  michael zaccardo is now 2-0 after hurling six innings of one-run ball, followed by three innings of combined relief from glen misho, mark fraser, matt lewis, and chris kowalski, who picked up his second save.  the bullpen allowed only an unearned run, with misho and fraser each striking out two.  offensively, tre dennis was 3-5 with an rbi, three runs scored, and a stolen base, while patrick brady extended his hitting streak to six games with a double.  with the navs ahead 2-0 in the second inning, mike lebel provided the early knockout blow, doubling in two with a drive over the head of center fielder alex hilliard against holyoke ace doug jennings…
